The 10/100 WDM Optical Media Converter is designed to seamlessly convert 100BASE-FX optical signals to 100Base-TX copper cable signals and vice versa. Utilizing advanced WDM technology, this device transmits and receives data over a single fiber optic, effectively saving half the costs associated with traditional cabling.

This converter operates under IEEE 802.3u 10/100Base-TX and 100Base-FX standards, employing single-mode fiber with SC connectors. It is ideally suited for long-wave optical transmission, ensuring fast and efficient data transfer. The device sends signals at a wavelength of 1310nm and receives signals at 1550nm, requiring the connected device to send at 1550nm and receive at 1310nm. A compatible TP-LINK device is the MC111CS converter.

The MC112CS can be used as a standalone unit or mounted in a 19' TP-LINK rack. It features automatic speed negotiation and supports Auto MDI/MDI-X for easy cross-connection.
