This PoE extender switch is designed for installations where you need to deliver both data and PoE power to more distant locations (e.g., a hall, parking area, long corridors) and you don’t want to deal with an additional power source along the way. At the input it receives data and PoE, then on the outputs it provides a “refreshed” Ethernet signal and PoE, so you can safely continue with further cabling.
Benefits for installers and network administrators:
Cascading: the extender can also be used in a chain. In practice, you can connect up to 3 devices in a row (3 levels), with each adding another +100 m—up to +300 m total beyond the standard reach. At the same time, each segment still leaves room to connect additional PoE devices “along the way.”
