The Uni-T UT511 insulation resistance tester is the entry-level model of the UT510 series, designed for everyday inspection and service work where you need to reliably verify insulation condition with a test voltage up to 1000 V. With a measurement range up to 10 GΩ, it is suitable for diagnostics of electrical installations, cable runs, switchboards, motors, and medium-voltage equipment.
For a more accurate assessment of insulation condition over time, it provides PI (Polarization Index) and DAR (Dielectric Absorption Ratio) functions, which help detect not only immediate faults but also gradual parameter deterioration during periodic checks. The large backlit display with a 30-segment bar graph makes it easy to orient yourself quickly during measurement.
Safe operation is supported by automatic discharge after measurement and a high-voltage alarm. Practical features also include continuous mode and timed measurements (up to approx. 30 minutes), along with a low-battery indicator.
