The Flextail R03 pad is designed for comfortable sleep outdoors—in the mountains, forest, or by the water. Thanks to an R-value of 3.5 (ASTM F3340-22), it significantly reduces heat loss to the ground and works as a reliable thermal barrier on cold or damp surfaces.
7 cm thickness creates a resilient air cushion that distributes pressure and smooths out uneven terrain. The chamber construction stabilizes the body when changing position and increases comfort when sleeping on your side or back—even on rocky or root-covered ground.
A major advantage is the integrated AVS valve, which together with the Flextail air capsule enables automatic inflation and deflation in about 90 seconds. This minimizes moisture entering the pad from breath, and packing is quick even in cold or rainy weather. The AVS standard also lets you use one capsule with other Flextail gear (e.g., a pillow).
