The AXAGON StandReader is a versatile standalone USB 2.0 smart card reader that is perfect for handling various formats of contact smart cards, chip cards, and other contact ID cards, including payment cards and electronic identification cards. Compatible with most national eID applications, this reader is an essential tool for everyday authentication needs.

With compatibility across popular operating systems, including Windows, Linux, Mac OS, and Android, this card reader offers broad usage across computers, laptops, phones, and tablets. A smart LED indicator signals changes in activity and then turns off, avoiding unnecessary distraction. Its practical design features high-quality construction, anti-slip pads, and a long cable for easy and trouble-free operation.

• Interface: USB 2.0 CCID protocol, backward compatible with USB 1.1. Connect to computers via a male USB 2.0 Type A connector. For phones or tablets with USB-C, a USB-C to USB-A adapter is recommended. For micro USB devices, an OTG micro USB to USB-A adapter is suggested.
• Card Reader: Single slot supporting ATM/CAC/ID/IC/SIS cards. Compatible with contact smart cards following ISO 7816 standards, Classes A, B, and C (5V, 3V, and 1.8V). Supports ISO 7816, EMV 4.1 (EMV 2000 Level 1), protocols T=0 and T=1, I2C, as well as other specific card standards.

• Stability features include weights in the base and anti-slip rubber pads to prevent movement on surfaces.

Note: This reader only supports cards with visible connectors. Cards without connectors operate via RFID systems and are not supported by this reader.
