Battery power of this detector allows for easy installation and protection even during a power outage. CO concentration is measured every second and the display shows values ranging from 0 to 999 PPM. When the allowed level is exceeded, the detector issues a visual warning (red LED) and a sound alarm (85 dB).

The device is equipped with a test/reset button to verify functionality and the option to display the highest recorded CO concentration. The function informs if an alarm was activated within the last 14 days. The control system continuously monitors the sensor, internal circuits, and battery status, alerting of faults or low battery with a yellow LED light and graphical information on the LCD. Test simulation ensures quick testing of the sensor’s response to CO.

A specially designed cover allows for wall mounting or placement on a flat surface, such as a nightstand. After 10 years of power activation, the detector signals the need for device replacement.

K5DCO has a construction mark B and meets the Czech standard PN-EN 50291-1:2018+AC 2021 for home CO detectors, with tests conducted by the Fire Protection Research Center (CNBOP-PIB). Additionally, it holds a BSI certificate confirming compliance with the BS EN 50291-1:2018 standard issued by the British Standards Institution.
