ALANTEC unshielded (UTP) tool-less keystone jacks are used to build user outlets and patch panels in indoor horizontal and vertical data communication networks that are not affected by electromagnetic interference.
This tool-less solution allows installation of connectors for the entire transmission link without the need for special tools. The installation process is quick and convenient (in our experience, installing these jacks takes 1/3 of the time required by standard tool-based systems).
Depending on the installer’s preference, the jacks can also be terminated using the classic, tool-based method. Our modules are terminated with a single closing movement of the module housing onto the cable, simultaneously terminating all 8 cable conductors on the IDC connector. This method ensures that all cable conductors are terminated with the same clamping force.
Thanks to special universal mounting elements, the modules can be installed in a variety of components such as empty patch panels, wall boxes, floor boxes, and more.
IMPORTANT DESIGN ADVANTAGES: Plugging in RJ11 or RJ12 telephone connectors does not damage the jack; thanks to the special design, the connector pins do not deform. The module is also equipped with an integrated dust cover (engaged when inserted).
