The Shelly Pro LoRa expansion module is a galvanically isolated add-on for Shelly Pro series devices, adding LoRa (Long Range) wireless communication with a range of up to 5 km. It’s ideal where Wi‑Fi or wired networking is not sufficient—for industry, agriculture, municipalities, and large commercial sites—and thanks to DIN-rail mounting and AES‑CCM encryption, it provides a reliable and secure automation upgrade.
The Shelly Pro LoRa expansion module is designed for quickly extending existing Shelly Pro installations with very long-range communication. The module is not a standalone device—it is powered by a compatible Shelly Pro device and communicates with it via a dedicated serial interface. This eliminates the need for additional power supplies, gateways, or complex infrastructure.
LoRa is ideal for locations with limited network coverage or many obstacles (warehouses, halls, large properties). The SMA connector allows you to use the supplied antenna or choose a higher-gain antenna and, if needed, route it outside a metal cabinet for better reception.
