The perforated metal screen at the bottom limits the entry of larger impurities into the intake area. The pump is designed for clean and slightly contaminated water containing particles up to 2 mm in size.
The metal body and 1" metal threaded connection ensure a secure connection for the discharge hose. The top handle makes it easier to safely carry and handle the pump.
