Transmission is no problem for it: a simple and functional switch from Lanberg
A switch is an indispensable active device in any network structure that uses structured cabling. The RSGE-24 is designed for all types of installations: home, business, low-voltage, surveillance, IP, VoIP, cable TV networks.
Its suitable housing and included brackets allow installation in server racks, the provided features enable versatile use in any configuration, and the applied bus and chipset deliver Gigabit Ethernet speeds.
All this makes it ideal for demanding and extensive networks.

Extend mode up to 250 meters
Standard-compliant switches typically allow devices to operate at distances up to 100 meters on a single cable run. Sometimes, however, due to a large backbone network and complex environments, custom solutions beyond the standard are needed when developing cabling and the network. In surveillance solutions, this is a fairly common issue, most often caused by excessive distance between the distribution device and the endpoint device.

Lanberg switches include a feature that allows data transmission (max. 10 Mb/s) up to 250 m on a single cable run. To ensure operation over longer distances, simply flip the chassis switch to the Extend 250 m position.

This solution was introduced with surveillance and IP systems and access control in mind, especially where endpoints are placed outdoors with no option to install additional network distribution points.

Port isolation function - VLAN
VLAN is a feature with a wide range of possibilities, from separating or linking several logical networks within another, larger physical network to isolating ports from each other. This function is used mainly in configurable switches but is rarely found in budget, let alone unmanaged, solutions.

Lanberg switches have a function that allows all standard ports (1 ~ 22) to be isolated from each other while allowing each port to communicate only with the uplink ports (23 ~ 24). To ensure port isolation, simply set the chassis switch to the VLAN position.
This solution was introduced to ensure effective protection of devices in surveillance, alarm, and access systems—especially where security is always the top priority.

2 kV surge protection
Both the switch itself and connected devices are repeatedly exposed to various hazards, including surge currents that may flow through power and network cables.

With the safety of devices and users in mind, Lanberg equipped the switch with an integrated discharge protection circuit that provides 2 kV protection for all ports, effectively reducing damage due to overvoltage.
Under standard conditions, network operation will continue without interruption, the switch will work without outages, and the user gains operational safety for both devices and infrastructure.

Includes mounting kit - 19" rack ears
The RS series of switches is distinguished not only by build quality, ease of use, and device functionality, but also by additional mounting options and included accessories where applicable.
Lanberg has introduced an accessory kit for versatile mounting of its switches. The RSGE-24 provides 19-inch rack ears and a set of mounting screws (except M6). This allows broader usage and greater freedom when installing RS series switches.
