This professional black solar cover warms the water, helps retain heat even at night, and at the same time reduces evaporation as well as the loss of pool chemicals. It also partly protects the water surface from debris and is suitable for pools with a 3 m water surface diameter.
The solar cover is made from a bubble polyethylene thermal insulating sheet and floats freely on the water surface with the bubbles facing down. In sunlight, the bubbles act like lenses, supporting heating of the pool water and helping maintain a comfortable temperature after dark.
By reducing evaporation, it decreases water loss and slows the depletion of chemical treatments, so they last longer in the pool. The cover also provides a basic barrier against small debris falling into the water.
