A reliable vinometer enables convenient and precise determination of sugar concentration in must by direct reading on the scale in the range of 0–24 °Blg. One degree Blg approximately corresponds to 10 g of sugar in 1 liter of juice, which makes it easier to control proper fermentation progress and plan the final strength of the wine.
The set includes a test tube and a float with a clearly marked scale, so measurements are quick, clean, and repeatable. For best accuracy, take measurements at 20–21 °C, the temperature at which the device is calibrated.
